Kamaru Usman is a Nigerian born American fighter who started wrestling in his sophomore year of college. He won the NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championship at 174 pounds. He also has experience in Freestyle wrestling competition. The extent of his submission and BJJ training is unknown but is likely to be incorporated in his MMA training.
